I am a 17 year old artist located in Pennsylvania but for the majority of my childhood I was raised in Hong Kong.  Art to me is an escape from school work and I love it. As a beginner artist the process that I like to use when creating is simple. I like to plan out bigger projects by searching different artists work for inspiration. Then I find something to combine with the references and start to mix things together. My favorite mediums to use include alcohol markers, digital drawing, photography, and watercolors. I like to use alcohol markers because I find it easier to layer and is less time consuming than using color pencil. Also I find them easier to blend with each other, especially skin tones. I like to draw digitally because I can be more precise with my drawing. I can create straight lines and curves as well as create organic shapes. I also love the huge color selection because I can virtually use every color ever made. Watercolor is one of my new mediums I am working with and it's interesting. I like control in my art but I am also into free flowing things. Blending is really fun with watercolors. I enjoy adding markers on top of the watercolor because I think it adds some form of control.  I like to take photos of everything but one of my favorite things to photograph is nature and animals. I like taking pictures of animals because they are so pure. Their movements and simple and truly theirs. They aren't posing or smiling they are perfectly candid. In my work you will see a bunch of my pets and my friends dogs because of this. My style is not realism but has aspects of realism. I like drawing things with big eyes and bright colors. It’s a mix between realism and cartoon. My aesthetic is usually bright and colorful. Some of my inspirations include: Monet, Matisse, Dali, Banksy, Warhol, Njideka Akunyili, and my mom. I try to emulate the use of color and meaning behind their art works. As an artist I currently see myself as a beginner finding my way. Some things I would like to work on include : anatomy and backgrounds. I draw almost everyday whether it's in my sketch book or drawn all over my body with pen.
